Artist Biography
Ali-Olé is a powerful female duo who have toured worldwide as members of the Al Andalus Ensemble. Recipients of the California ArtsBridge Award and the Peoples Grammy Award, Barcelona born flamenco dancer Verónica Medina Cano and flamenco guitarist Julia Banzi join forces to showcase how cultures are connected across centuries and continents.
Teaching Philosophy
You all have treasures hidden within you -- extraordinary treasures -- and so do I, and so does everyone around us. And bringing those treasures to light takes work and faith and focus and courage and hours of devotion, and the clock is ticking, and the world is spinning, and we simply do not have time anymore to think so small.
