Far West Recycling Arts Grant

About the Grant

Arts for Learning Northwest and Far West Recycling have partnered together for more than 25 years to bring arts programming to K-8 Beaverton School District students.

This grant provides funding for programs with Arts for Learning Northwest artists, including: performances, residencies and workshops.

Current Grant Cycle

Status: Closed

Eligibility

  • Schools listed on the Beaverton School District website that serve grades K through 8.
  • Schools that either did not receive a grant last school year OR received a grant last year and returned a grant report to Arts for Learning NW.
  • High-needs schools will be given priority.
Information to Consider
  • The grant will be for up to $2000 per school.
  • This amount will only cover either 1-2 performances, 1 schoolwide workshop, or a 1-2 grade level residency (depending on the number of classrooms)
  • Larger residencies will only be available if the school is able to provide additional funds.
  • Please familiarize yourself with our programming before applying so you can tell us what artist or program type you would prefer.
  • The grant funds must be used by June 30th, 2025.
  • We will require a report including quotes, comments and pictures from teachers and students that we can share with Far West Recycling and our social networks for future opportunities.

Instructions

Please gather the following information:
  • Total number of students and/or classrooms in your school.
  • Your program preference between a performance, or an in-class program.
  • Additional funds available to supplement schoolwide residencies.
  • Number or percentage of students receiving reduced or free lunch.
  • Information about your experience if you have received the grant before, or your expectations if you have not.
