Taiko Rhythm and Respect with Unit Souzou
Learning Target: I can compose a taiko rhythm that tells a story & practice respect.
Learning Summary: Students will learn about rhythm, find their unique rhythm maker, and compose a taiko rhythm that tells a story. Throughout the lesson, students will build a sense of mindfulness and respect for themselves, their peers, and their instruments.
Arts Standard: MU.1.CR1.K. With guidance, explore and experience music concepts (such as beat and melodic contour). With guidance, generate musical ideas(such as movements or motives)
SEL Standard: Standard 2: Self-Management & Agency: Use management strategies to build personal and collective agency that lead to achieving goals and aspirations.
