Basquiat Crowns (Graffiti Art) with Michele Haney
Learning Target: I reflect on my work and improve it thanks to the personal and group feedback. I can use symbols and my written words to create a Jean-Michel Basquiat inspired drawing.
Learning Summary: Students will observe and discuss imagery in Basquiat work, write identity statements using sentence frames, and apply their learning through a drawing on paper.
Arts Standard: Art: VA.2a.CR2.5. Demonstrate quality craftsmanship through care for and use materials, tools, and equipment.
SEL Standard: "Standard 1: Self-Awareness & Identity: Identify and reflect upon one’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, intersectional identity, and capabilities across situations and environments."
