About the Artist

Anna Hoye

Anna is a creator in each dimension of her life whether delivering yachts & sailboats through technical far away passages as mate and even skipper or working in photography as both Cyanotype teaching artist & photographic portrait artist. She find balance through a diversity with her different careers and that feeds her curriculum and embedded core content. She focus on holding space for students to gain creative confidence, a bolstering a sense of worth and value in their communities and healthier mental wellness as a drive to engage as a healthier version of themselves is born. Growing up outside of Missoula, Montana her K-8 was community art infused. On a first grade field trip to the art museum Anna’s class was given an art residency by the showcase artist who inspired Anna indefinitely with a confidence nobody could take away with as she became an artist and a Cyanotype teaching artist. Anna has a BFA from The University of Montana in analog fine art photography 2000, and part of the pilot Teaching Artist Studio Cohort Program in 2012. She’s also affiliated with Lane Arts Council, The Right Brain Initiative, and offers private classes and events. Anna’s a single mother to a diverse, creative, independent 17 year old daughter and artist! When not working Anna can often been seen camping and traveling in her pink teardrop trailer she designed and created single-handedly during the pandemic. She’s driven by the storms that bring snow to the mountains allowing her snowboarding soul to connect with the power of nature at its finest. In the summer she is dancing, paddle boarding, gardening, creating, camping, and stargazing. Anna’s inspiration is infectious and she uses this to engage and teach.. Check out her new program ‘From Digital Capture to Analog Cyanotype’ the whole process is unveiled in the hands of students 5 and up! Anna’s also a part of a nationally funded course RAISE of selected applicants across the nation who will take SEL, social emotional learning and working with doctors in a he areas of mental health and trauma she is recreating each of her programs to be infused with the core elements needed to become healthy, engaged, and inspired students. It’s been a traumatic two plus years and Anna is excited her classes will nourish students from within more then ever!
