The storyteller, music and stories to daydream.

“Come gather round and I’ll tell you a story. I’ve got no pictures so pay close attention, your imagination is key.  Let me paint upon your reverie, a landscape you can close your eyes and see.”

Bringing storytelling and music together in an intimate, purposely low tech, human scale performance. A selection of music and stories from around the world performed by two musicians and a professional storyteller. Travel back to the time of to the troubadour, the disinterested storyteller, the griot, the vagabond, the traveler who shares their experience with others through realm of the fantastic, through the fabulous. Martin’s mission is to empower young minds in their own journeys through life and encourage an interest in literature, to encourage and inspire the journey to find their own voice, their own inner storyteller.

The performance can be focused for preschool and grade school age kids with sing alongs and audience participation. All original music composed by Martin Zarzar and stories from folk traditions inclusive of many cultures and nations adapted to a modern context by expert storytellers.
