Theater exercises and games to bring focus and fun

This program offered by: Nomadic Theatre Co

Heather Pearl has been teaching Movement Education at Cedarwood Waldorf School for 19 years. Pearl has also been a performing artist for even longer. In this workshop, she brings decades of experience of what works to guide students to be ready to learn. (whether it is theater or reading). Pearl will teach numerous opening exercises to cross the midline, calm the nervous system, and sharpen focus. The same exercises that begin a good theater class, can begin a good reading class.
The workshop will also include partner and small group creative activities as well as whole class theatrical games. Pearl’s workshop is designed to teach activities that can be used the next day and many days beyond, to hopefully support the everyday teaching, as well as bringing theatrical elements when desired.
