Mind to Mime to Word: How Stories Are Created, Told and Shared

Professional mime and circus clown Albert Alter performs a variety of short vignettes as he demonstrates the elements of a good story: beginning, middle and end, characters, setting, conflict and resolution. He illustrates with humor, imagination and improvisation how the art of mime is a foundation for acting, for creating and telling a story and for basic communication. During this fast-moving program, Albert teaches the audience a mime routine, helping them better understand the relationship between ideas, images, creativity, the written and spoken word and the creation of stories.
