Inside Out with the Trunk Crew

This program offered by: Story On Hand

Laugh and learn as Cindy and the Trunk Crew, with the audience’s help, tackle and resolve social and emotional challenges with which humans (and puppets) grapple. Schools can choose from one of the four following performances, depending on what will best serve the needs of the school.
The Crew: Figuring it Out
In this humorous, interactive program, meet the entire Trunk Crew. All five characters (figures) touch on their own social emotional challenges, including anxiety, fear, bullying, gratitude, and self-confidence, and learn effective strategies to help them navigate that particular challenge successfully.
Yikes! I’m Stuck!
This highly interactive, fun program helps students recognize and manage anxiety, while empowering themselves and others.
It Was Dark Last Night…
Regardless of age, we’re all afraid of something at some point (maybe something all of the time), and we’re too big for binkies. In this hilarious program, students will laugh while finding skills and strategies to help them cope with fear.
B.U.
Students will learn the definition of bullying, how to identify when bullying occurs, and how to strategically deal with bullying effectively. The program covers some of the reasons bullies bully and examines ways to prevent it from happening, while encouraging students to show compassion and empathy not only for those who are bullied, but for the bullies themselves. This program includes the topics of authenticity and healthy boundaries.

Different performances are available for different age groups in a back to back performances. In addition to single and back to back 50 minute performances, schools have the option to schedule 3 back to back 30 minute performances.

Cindy Craft has presented to over 10,000 students in schools across the United States, using humor and ventriloquism to address social emotional growth and discovery, bullying prevention and coping strategies for the bullied and the bully, character building, and creativity exploration. She draws upon her own experiences of using creativity to empower those who feel "othered" and leaves students with strategies they can use to discover their own creativity and individuality.
