Future Photographer: Beginner to Pro

Christian Barrios

Students will learn the elements of design that help them make pictures instead of taking snapshots. They will learn perspective, depth of field, composition and other elements of design used in photography to convey an idea with a photo.

Future Photographer can be adapted for distance learning with livestream or pre-recorded sessions, or a combination of both. We will decide the best option for your school at a planning meeting.

In Class	Planning Meeting	86.00	An in person planning meeting with partnering teachers is required for residencies.
In Class	Mileage/Travel Costs		Teaching Artist charges IRS mileage rate for travel from Lakeshore WA. This program is available within 50 miles of Portland.
In Class	Prep Hours	86.00	Time spent on activities in support of the program (e.g. setting up/cleaning a classroom, research, curriculum development, etc.). Plan on 2 hours per contract.
In Class	Equipment Use		$10 per camera rental fee. Artist can deliver cameras to the school for distribution.
In Class	Supplies		Supplies for this residency average $3 per student.
In Class	Additional Planning	86.00	Additional planning time with teachers or volunteers, etc.
In Class	Media Editing/Copying/Uploading		$20 per classroom
In Class	Residency Session	86.00	Residency session prices are based on a 50 minute session. Some artists may prefer different session lengths and will pro-rate the cost.
