Rhythm and Autism (From the Ground UP show #1 at Historic Alberta House)

First night of two! This is the theatrical debut of the full one-act version of RHYTHM AND AUTISM. It’s original solo musical comedy, directed by Jacquelle Davis for From the Ground UP, a women/femme-centered theatre group where I was a resident in 2023. It’s highly interactive and infectious, and I intend for it to be a thunderously joyous celebration of difference and an open invitation for everyone to be everything they are. This version of the show is not designated sensory friendly, but anyone is welcome to bring stim toys (or play with some of ours), or step outside in case of sensory overload!

The show has no strictly-adult content, but some of the concepts and references might be lost on very young children (it’s different from my school show). Content: mental health issues, late-diagnosed autism, fighting ableism.
