Phoenix Dance with Jill Giedt
Learning Target: I can use several memorization techniques to help me remember choreography. know how to take care of my body as a way to set myself up for success in learning. I know what kind of sleep, food, and environment are optimal for my well-being (personalized–some people need more sleep than others, some people need more alone time, etc.) I can see how I need to take care of myself as a student/athlete/artist.
Learning Summary: Students will explore the theme of fire and rebirth by embodying the mythological phoenix in dance. Students will practice safe dance techniques and learn choreography that emphasize dynamic and fluid motions inspired by flames and a phoneix's rebirth.
