Learning Target: I understand there are multiple ways to create art and solve problems. I can draw from observation and design with symmetry.
Learning Summary: Students will find shapes in their environment. Students will transform their bodies from a growing fiddlehead fern to a mature frond. Students will draw and design an art piece incorporating a fern.
Arts Standard: Art: VA.1a.CR1.2. Make art or design with various materials and tools to explore personal interests, questions, and curiosity.
SEL Standard: "Standard 3: Social Awareness & Belonging: Develop social awareness that fosters a sense of belonging and leads to co-constructing equitable, thriving communities and a vibrant society."
