Movement and Emotion with Rachael Brown
Learning Target: I can match my body moves to the bets of different songs.
Learning Summary: Students will learn how music affects quality of movement. They will also explore how movement and physical cues can indicate emotion in themselves and others.
Arts Standard: Art: DA.4.CR4.1. Recognize a steady beat and move to beats at varying speeds. Describe movement that interprets descriptive words (e.g., use adverbs and adjectives that apply to movement such as a bouncy leap, a floppy fall, a jolly jump, and a joyful spin.)
SEL Standard: "Standard 1: Self-Awareness & Identity: Identify and reflect upon one’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, intersectional identity, and capabilities across situations and environments."
