A partnership with Arts for Learning NW (ALNW) and the Oregon Department of Education

Learning Target: I can explain how my lyric and musical choices reflect my ideas and feelings about myself and my community. I can describe how different kinds of music create different feelings and ideas.

Learning Summary: Students will use observation of nature, self-expression, and empathy to create a poem or song and reflect on that process as part of a larger project that contributes to social change.

Arts Standard: MU.4.PR1.4Demonstrate, explain

SEL Standard: "Standard 5: Responsible Decision-Making & Curiosity: Demonstrate curiosity and analysis of oneself and society in order to make caring choices that impact personal, social, and collective well-being across situations and environments."
