Expressing Feelings Through Songwriting with Melinda Martinez
Learning Target: I can share my musical idea/composition with my peers. I can integrate feedback from my peers to make my musical idea clearer.
Learning Summary: Students will use lyric templates to create their own collaborative songs. While identifying feelings, and ways to express them, students will explore the use of words in music.
Arts Standard: Art: MU.4.PR1.K. With guidance, demonstrate and state personal interest in varied musical selections.
SEL Standard: Standard 2: Self-Management & Agency: Use management strategies to build personal and collective agency that lead to achieving goals and aspirations.
