Emotion Dance with Nicole McCall
Learning Target: I can connect my feelings to my movement choices.
Learning Summary: Students will create a dance improvisation using that expresses how they feel when they are doing an activity that brings them joy. As a part of this lesson students will deepen their self awareness, explore DANCE MOVES AND ENERGY as creative tools, and create an improvisation expressing different kinds of feelings.
Arts Standard: DA.10.CO1.2: 1. Describe, create, and/or perform a dance that expresses personal meaning. 2. Explain how certain movements express this personal meaning.
SEL Standard: "Standard 1: Self-Awareness & Identity: Identify and reflect upon one’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, intersectional identity, and capabilities across situations and environments."
