Bird Mask Making & Storytelling with Shuhe Hawkins
Learning Target: I can transform into a bird character by exploring the use of my voice and body and a paper bird mask that I made.
Learning Summary: Students will learn to create bird masks using simple materials. They will also explore the use of their voices and bodies to transform into their bird characters and tell stories.
Arts Standard: Th.4.PR1.2.2 Alter voice and body to expand and articulate nuances of a character in a guided drama experience (e.g., process drama, story drama, creative drama).
SEL Standard: "Standard 3: Social Awareness & Belonging: Develop social awareness that fosters a sense of belonging and leads to co-constructing equitable, thriving communities and a vibrant society."
