Arts, Care & Connection Learning Module Library
A partnership with Arts for Learning NW (ALNW) and the Oregon Department of Education
Big Picture vs. Little Picture with Mika Martinez
Learning Target: I can identify how what I see informs my beliefs, values, and behaviors. I can be curious and analyze how artistic choices impact personal, social, and collective well-being.
Learning Summary: Students will explore how what they see influences their initial perception of that moment, the people in or connected to what they see, and how that changes when more information is made available. By the end of the lesson, students will understand how an artist's choice impacts their thoughts and feelings about themselves and others.
Arts Standard: VA.3.CR3.5 Refine, adapt consideration, context
