Through games, observation, drawing, and discussion, students will name a number of emotions and find ways these feeling can be expressed and understood in their body and the bodies of others. They will further develop their ideas by creating an imagined character in their body.
Medium: Theatre
Students will learn how flow, gesture and isolation can help their bodies express their feelings to others. They will celebrate and express their unique individuality and ability to connect with others, and then see how their own individuality makes the ‘whole’ more beautiful, affirming their sense of belonging.
Medium: Dance
Students will practice using physical expression as a way to identify and communicate feelings, emotions, character, objects/images and their interpretations of the world around them.
