Art is Everywhere: Sketchbook/Scrapbooks with Elisabeth Herrera Very
Learning Target: I can brainstorm ideas for creating my own unique works of art. I can use a variety of everyday materials in new ways to create works of art. I can create works of art that express my own unique point of view.
Learning Summary: Students will use a variety of non-traditional materials to create a sketchbook or scrapbook to explore their personal ideas. Students will continue to develop their unique point of view and identity as developing artists.
Arts Standard: VA.1.CR1.1With support, develop an idea for an artwork based on a theme (e.g. personal or family story).Use observation and investigation to make a work of artEngage in focused mark making.
SEL Standard: "Standard 1: Self-Awareness & Identity: Identify and reflect upon one’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, intersectional identity, and capabilities across situations and environments."
