Stories With Physical Expression with Jaese Lecuyer
Learning Target: I can use physical expression as a means to communicate thoughts, feelings and ideas and as a way to begin to create and tell stories. I can collaborate with my peers to create an original piece of theatre.
Learning Summary: Students will practice using physical expression as a way to identify and communicate feelings, emotions, character, objects/images and their interpretations of the world around them.
Arts Standard: TH.5.CR1.5. Identify physical qualities that might reveal a character’s inner traits in the imagined world of a drama/theatre work.
SEL Standard: "Standard 1: Self-Awareness & Identity: Identify and reflect upon one’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, intersectional identity, and capabilities across situations and environments.", "Standard 3: Social Awareness & Belonging: Develop social awareness that fosters a sense of belonging and leads to co-constructing equitable, thriving communities and a vibrant society."
