Dance Your Emotions

Students will learn that expressing their emotions through body movement can be a safe and healthy way to honor and release emotions from within their mind.

The Dance Your Emotions program will teach students a healthy way to physically express their emotions. They will learn how to identify emotions of the mind and then interpret those feelings into body movements. Ultimately, students will learn how to use elements like body shapes, tempo, energy, size of movement, and facial expression to safely honor and release the emotions they’re witnessing. This will empower students to recognize when they have overwhelming feelings and teach them how to channel them in a healthy manner — all while reaping the physical and emotional benefits of movement, exercise, and dance.
