FUN MASKS WITH IMAGO!

Mask-theater with whimsical and indescribable characters and creatures, which delight, tickle, and entertain school audiences. This presentation takes pieces from its internationally acclaimed show FROGZ.

The moment the music starts the excitement of mask performance begins. Children laugh as they witness masks coming to life. Performers skillfully perform charming creatures and characters, and volunteers are invited to participate in a mask improvisation.

This fun and educationally creative performance enriches children’s lives by giving them an opportunity to experience the power of theater and the universal qualities of mask performance.

The program closes with a question-and-answer session where students are invited to discuss how Imago creates illusion, and how masks have been used in various cultures throughout time. The shared experience when children laugh is truly magical. Theater is a social event that instills in each individual a sense of humanity. This exposure may be the initial step toward a lifelong involvement in the arts.

Program Requirements: Can perform anywhere, but prefer un-carpeted area. Need 20'x20' performance space.Needs electrical outlets, student helpers, and clean stage area. Students should sit in auditorium seating for stage or semicircle seating for gyms
