November is here!

The annual Season of Giving starts this month. Arts for Learning NW has a lot to offer in the coming weeks, including exciting ways for you to join in our mission of providing abundant arts education for Oregon and SW Washington!

Arts for Learning NW is in Give!Guide this year! 

Give!Guide is an annual campaign by Willamette Week that for 2024 gathers together 252 incredible nonprofits including ALNW! During November and December, there are Big Giving Days that reward your support by entering you into drawings for various exciting prizes provided by our Give!Guide partners. Help us meet our goal of raising $30,000 – click here to donate today and keep an eye out on our Facebook and Instagram pages for more information on the Big Giving Days!

Fun for the Arts Raises Over $21,000

Our Fun for the Arts fall dance-a-thon raised over $21,000 for our partner schools! We beat last fall's total by 30%, and we are super excited! FFA funds are available to book our teaching artists, buy art supplies, fund museum field trips, or any other arts education purposes. Our second FFA dance-a-thon happens in March 2025, so keep an eye out for announcements inviting your school to register.

Free Webinars for Educators!

Register for Thursday, November 14 for Arts Integrated SEL lessons for elementary classrooms: Arts Care and Connection Resources and on Tuesday, November 19 for Intro to Oregon Core Arts Standards.  Join Arts for Learning NW to learn about free resources that integrate Core Arts Standards and Transformative Social Emotional Learning Standards for k-5 educators throughout the state of Oregon. Teaching Artist Spotlight on Science Integration

November Teaching Artists Spotlights focus on Science Integration. For the month of November on FaceBook and Instagram, Arts for Learning NW celebrates teaching artists focused on Science Integration: These Teaching Artists are skilled at connecting an artform with science topics. Peruse these artists and more through our online program guide.

Teacher Resource Happy Hour November 19th! 

Arts for Learning NW and the Reser are throwing a Happy Hour event for you in November!  Join us at the beautiful Reser Center for the Arts to share snacks and drinks and to learn about art resources and opportunities available to school staff and students. We will showcase local arts-based classroom experiences, field trip opportunities, and funding resources.

What you can expect:

  • Local arts Organizations will share about field trip opportunities, after school programs 
  • Teaching artists will showcase Arts experiences available to schools 
  • Funding resources for schools  - Snacks and drinks  

*This event is free, but we kindly ask that you RSVP by reserving a ticket.
